Saint Tariq apparently was a figure of the first years of Islam who later was revered as a saint
Tariq ibn Rashid revered his namesake saint. When his cousin Achmed ibn Yahya went to a pilgrimage he asked him a relic from that saint, but Achmed failed to do so when he returned to Jerusalem. This caused a breach between the two cousins.
Ismail ibn Hamid of Jerusalem claimed to own several relics of saints, including one of Saint Tariq. King Arthur bought one for the cousins's sake in order to resolve the feud.
